Below are a few events we have been involved with.
- Liam Strong Charity Run for UNC Children’s Hospital
The Liam Strong Charity Beach Run was created by Kimberly and Bryan Batten to honor their son, Liam Fredric Batten, who they lost at six months to childhood cancer. In the short time he was here, Liam inspired every person he touched in more ways than we can put into words. The charity run is a way to honor Liam and give back to all of the doctors and nurses at N.C. Children’s Hospital that are so special to their family.
- Seahawk Intercollegiate Sponsorship
The golf tournament is a charitable organization donating net proceeds to UNCW scholarships and the men’s golf program.
- Wrightsville Beach Foundation
The Wrightsville Beach Foundation is committed to identifying and developing opportunities that will generate funds to be used to promote, improve, and enhance the quality and enjoyment of Wrightsville Beach’s parks, programs, and amenities. In addition, we support educational and care-giving organizations in our surrounding communities and work with the Wrightsville Beach Parks and Recreation committee and town leaders to support these objectives.
- Landfall Foundation
The Landfall Foundation was formed as a means for Landfall residents to thoughtfully and confidently extend support to greater Wilmington area nonprofit organizations. Grants are awarded after the grants committee evaluates applications for projects and programs in the areas of the arts, education, health, and welfare.
- UNCW Cameron Executive Network
The Cameron Executive Network (CEN) is a volunteer network made up of current and retired business executives who are dedicated to enhancing the education and career development of undergraduate Cameron School of Business students through individual mentoring.
- Canines for Service
Canines for Service (CFS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 1996 and is the longest running, internationally accredited service dog provider. Recognizing a significant need within the veteran community, CFS shifted its focus to solely serving veterans in 2018. CFS continues to provide service dogs at no cost or fundraising requirements to veterans from all conflicts with service-connect PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, mobility challenges, and/or military sexual trauma.
- Seapath Yacht Club
Located in Wrightsville Beach, Seapath provides first-class floating docks, including 190 slips and 600 feet of face dock. Seapath is adjacent to both the intracoastal waterway and the Masonboro all-weather inlet from the Atlantic Ocean.
